Way back last fall somebody asked me to post an update when I switched from the Boniva infusion to Reclast and what the latest DEXA scans showed.

The scans were good. The back seems to be relatively stable and the hips, etc. were good. (Hmmm, it's been a while since a man has told me I have good hips! ) That's after a year of the Boniva infusion. However, the endocrinologist wanted me to switch to the Reclast because I'd already had spinal fractures.

Und so, I did. It took about 20 minutes for the infusion to run via a hang-bag of saline solution. Felt fine the same day, but the next day and for several days thereafter, I felt like I had a mild case of flu and a wicked headache. The doctor said the symptoms were almost certainly from the Reclast and that they can last up to several weeks. Huzzah for me, I only had about 5 days worth and it wasn't really all that bad.
