Penny,

That was so creative!

Shelley,
The Sclero Happy Dance has taken a life of it's own. I love to dance and watch dancing so I'd dance for Sclero any day. Hey, what about a Dancing for Sclero fundraiser! I envision it as a dancing competition where dancers pay a small entrance fee to participate and the winner wins a prize or sorts (maybe even a 1st, 2nd, 3rd place). Spectators pay a fee to watch and all funds collected (minus the cost of the prizes and the other minor costs associated) go towards Sclero research!

I'm going to get some folks together and see if we can feasably pull something like this off. It sounds like fun, but I know there is a lot hard work involved in fundraising (been there done that).

Even if it's not this particular event, I'd love to do something in my community that brings awareness to Scleroderma.

I'll keep you posted on my efforts.
I may have Scleroderma, but Scleroderma doesn't have me!

Penny, what a wonderful Happy Dance song you wrote!

Barefut, I'll see you one and raise you one; I bid a $125 ISN donation for a Jefa Happy Dance video.

Smac, we'd love all the help we can get with fun-raising! Everyone who wants to volunteer in any capacity, we encourage to apply as an ISN Volunteer. We always have openings for fund raisers, of course.

See our ISN Organization Chart. In the upper left hand corner you'll see the steps to apply. If you have any trouble with any of the forms (some people do) please email me or call our Hotline at 1-800-564-7099 for assistance.

Even people who aren't interested in volunteering may be quite interested in our Org Chart, as it links to all the profile pages for ISN volunteers, both alphabetically and by teams.

smac0719,

I keep laughing everytime I pull up this post. It has taken on a life of its own, the song, the dance, the bidding and imagining the contestants! It is all very funny and given me the boost I needed today.

Shelley,

I'll be trying out your granddaughter's Clean the Kitchen Happy Dance! While singing the song, cleaning and dancing, I'll bet my kitchen will sparkle like never.

Penny,

I loved your Scleroderma Happy Song! What a talented and creative group we have here!

Laughing til my belly aches,
Razz

Dear Razz,

You should really seriously consider doing a Sclero Happy Dance on video for us. We need a collection of Razz Videos!

For any of you who have missed it, Razz did a fabulous Sclero You Tube video for us. And clips from other tapings she did for us that day were used in a CNN program recently, which helped raise awareness of scleroderma on a CNN Heroes episode.

What an delightful thread, I really love to hear good news from all of you! :) I'm become so happy every time I read a thread like this.

To add some good news of my own too.. My rheumatologist here in Lohja sent me to a specialist to Helsinki and the specialist seems to be pretty good. He ordered bunch of different tests and after them we're gonna decide about medication or other treatments. I'm happy I'm finally seeing a great doctor who knows something about this.

Take care you all,
Emmi

Hi Emmi,

I'm thrilled that you finally have a great doctor! That can make all the difference in the world.

To celebrate, we're going to have a Sclero Happy Dance Line with all of the contestants in this thread. We're going to wear our Sclero Penguin dance outfits (a subdued tux with red tie and blue hands).

Oh no, we don't have any musicians yet! Can anyone around here play an instrument? We're in need of a choreographer, too. Oh well, in the meantime I'll put on, "It's my party and I'll cry dance if I want to."

Altogether now, one, two, three -- lift left leg, raise, kick!

Oh dear, the whole lot of us seem to have fibromyalgia. We all fell down!!!

But, we did it just for you, Emmi.
