Hello everyone, I haven't been here for a while due to many ups and down with my health as most of you living with this terrible disease are familiar with.

I am in process in arranging a visit to John Hopkins Hospital to see a surgeon who specializes in calcinosis cutis. Lately I have been experiencing serious symptoms of fibromyalgia and wondering if it is possible that I can develop fibromyalgia in addition to Scleroderma? I would I appreciate any information or experience any of you may have.

Thank you in advance for your input on the subject, I appreciate it.

Warm regards,

Hi Alice,

I'm glad you are seeing someone at JH. I hope they can help you.

I have Fibromyalgia and Sclero. I think there are many of us here that have multiple diagnoses. So, talk with your doctor about it. There are meds that seem to help some.
Warm and gentle hugs,

I too have fibromyalgia and scleroderma. I hope that you have a great visit to Hopkins. I go there to see a rheumatologist.

Hi Alice,
Although I am not a doctor, I do believe you can have both scleroderma and fibromyalgia; at least both are listed in my charts. I have been experiencing extreme fatigue for the last several weeks and my rheumatologist is treating me with cymbalta which has shown to improve fibromyalgia. Sadly, I have found no relief yet.
I wish you the best!
