Does any one suffer from gums bleeding without warning? I clean my teeth and rinse but when they start to bleed I sometimes feel that I cannot stop them. It's very scary. I have asked for a blood clotting test and they are going to do this but I have to wait till I go back. I also find that I do bleed more than I used to.

Lynn, have you also gone to the dentist to make sure you don't have any gum disease, like gingivitis? That is often caused by dry mouth.

There are literally dozens and dozens of causes of bleeding gums, some of them rather minor but some serious ones, so make sure both your doctor and/or dentist get to the bottom of it.
