My vitamin C bottle says in big bold red letters:

A powerful antioxidant that helps boost the immune system. It helps maintain healthy cholestrol levels and produces collagen critical for healthy cardiovascular function.

So, how does this affect us? Should we take it or not?

(I quit taking vitamins over a year ago)

My Dr. told me not to take a Vitamin C supplement, but that what I got in food was OK. I think most of us on the board steer clear of taking vitamin C since it aids in producing collagen. I used to take Emergency packets....until it actually made me feel bad after taking them, then I did some research.
Hope you are having a good weekend girl!

My rheumatologist told me to take as much as I like. I like to take about 1 Gm daily but when I'm sick I'll take 2. I was concerned about this, so I asked him and he said he didn't really think vitamins did anything for us at all, good or bad. (he can be a bit opinionated obviously) Anyway, I still take some everyday.
