It's taken 2 and a half years from the date of application, was turned down twice, and I went before a judge mid April, but along with my attorney's help, I'm finally getting it.

A woman from Social Security called to see if my bank account was still valid, since it had been so long since I applied, and they are sending a large check of all the back pay.

Thank goodness!

That's awesome! It is a great feeling when you get that. Sad that you need it, but great to get financial worries off of your mind. I was thrilled when I got mine.

Congratulations - I know what you have been through as I went down that road too. What a relief when it is all over and it makes life so much less stressful too
