I have to share the wonderful news I got today!! I'm probably the happiest girl in town right now!!! Yehawwww

I got approved for SSI Disability and Supplemental and Medicaid!! I will get my first check in 2 weeks. The funny thing was I thought there was no way I could get Medicaid since I don't have children.......but nope - not true. So now I can go see a doctor and not worry about the money any more. And boy did this come at a very important time because I honestly know something is wrong with my esophagus/bowels. I can't wait to get some extensive testing done so I can get to feeling better.

I filed for disability in November .......so it only took a few months. I just want those of you out there to realize it IS possible to get help and don't ever give up. I have Raynauds and Scleroderma and Pulminary Fibrosis.....along with gerds, arthritis etc.

Hope all of ya'll are doing ok.

Big hugs,
Sakar

Yeah!!! That is a wonderful feeling! I remember when I got mine. I didn't realize that children got benefits also. I have one son and he gets a check monthly. That was a nice surprise for me. Now you can relax and get that doctor's appointment.

:D Congratulations! glad you got it! that was fast though.
in my case, I filed last year about month of July and then got denied. Then I filed for an appeal with a help of a lawyer but now still pending hoping I will get it soon. The medical bills are hurting me. I was diagnosed overlap lupus and scleroderma. I have Raynaud's also just found out that I have pulmonary fibrosis.
