| Professor
Carol Black, MD, FRCP, CBE, is the Director of
the Department of Rheumatology at Royal Free Hospital
in London, England, and a renowned expert in scleroderma.
The department has an active research program. For
her lifetime work she was recently honored with the
prestigious award of Commander of the British Empire.
Professor Black is also President of the Royal College
of Physicians in London. She cares deeply about her
patients and is held in the highest esteem by her staff. |
| Dr.
Maria Trojanowska is Associate Professor, Division
of Rheumatology and Immunology at the Medical University
of South Carolina. The main area of research in her
laboratory is regulation of extracellular matrix (ECM)
deposition in healthy tissues and its dysregulation
in diseases. |
| Kevin
Howell is a Clinical Scientist for Professor Black
at the Royal Free Hospital in London. He began working
in the field of scleroderma in 1991, and uses the techniques
of capillaroscopy and infrared thermography. |
| Dr.
Vanessa Malcarne is an Associate Professor in Psychology
at San Diego State University (SDSU). She is also a
core member of the graduate faculty of the SDSU/UCSD
Joint Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology, and
a member of the Moore NCI Comprehensive Cancer Center
at UCSD. Her research focus is adjustment to chronic
illness in patients, spouses, and children. |
| Dr.
L. Nandini Moorthy is an Assistant Professor of
Pediatrics at UMDNJ/Robert Wood Johnson Medical School
in New Jersey. As a pediatric rheumatologist, she is
interested in taking care of children and improving
their quality of life. |
| Dr.
James R. Seibold is Professor of Internal Medicine
and Director of the University of Michigan Scleroderma
Program in Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA. He is also Chair
of the ISN Medical Advisory Board. |
| Judith
Thompson Devlin, co-editor, is ISN Archive Committee
Chair. Judith volunteered to preserve the sclero.org
stories and to create this book series to benefit the
International Scleroderma Network. |
| Shelley
Ensz is also co-editor of the book. She is Founder
and President of the International Scleroderma Network,
the Scleroderma from A to Z website, the Scleroderma
Webmaster's Association, and of EdinaWebDesign.com. |
