Ione Bridgman

Hello, I am Ione Bridgman, an ISN Artist. I am ninety years old, and I have been doing artwork of various forms for most of my life.

Before marrying, I was a display artist in a large department store in New Zealand. Not long afterwards I completed an International Correspondence Course on Art. I now paint for my own enjoyment. Below is an animated series of some of my paintings.

I am the mother of Sherrill Knaggs, an ISN News Guide and Artist, who is severely disabled with Diffuse Scleroderma. She sends some of my paintings to the website, through her computer, for illustrating the stories of people with scleroderma.

I have also painted the book covers for the entireVoices of Scleroderma Book Series.

I live about half a mile away from Sherrill and her husband, in a quiet country area of New Zealand, and as I am in my eighties now, they keep an eye on me too.
