Bunny Gardner

2003 ISN Awards Coordinator
for Scleroderma Webmaster's Association
People who have websites with information about their diseases
deserve a lot of credit for what they do.

Bunny GardnerHi, my name is Bunny Gardner. I am your ISN Awards Coordinator for the Scleroderma Webmaster's Association (SWA), and I live in beautiful Wisconsin.

Every year, the SWA issues awards to scleroderma webmasters who are part of our popular Scleroderma Sites to Surf! program. I review all of the websites to determine the awards eligibility, work with a designer to create the award graphics, and issue the awards.

I was diagnosed with scleroderma in 1993. The type of scleroderma I have is Crest. I also have neuropathy in my left arm and hand, and am partially paralyzed. I had a complete mastectomy from breast cancer in January of 2000, and a heart attack and heart surgery in February of 2002.

I had been in the printing trade for about thirty years, and had to leave my job in 1996 due to scleroderma, pulmonary scarring, Raynaud's, atypical tuberculosis, and a bunch of other things. I am on oxygen as needed.

I enjoy reading, gardening, and making web pages. My website is Bunny's Place, where I share my scleroderma story on inspirational pages that encourage love, faith, hope, and charity. I also do a daily mailing of basically spiritual content called "Words", and feel that I am very blessed.

I believe that the people who have websites with information about their diseases deserve a lot of credit for what they do to help other people. That is the reason I volunteered for this position.

I am happy to answer emails as my health allows.
