Linda K. Hopkins
Chair of ISN Legal Advisory Council
I have a strong interest in promoting
ethical distribution of medical care and medicines.

Hello, I am Linda Hopkins, the Chair of the ISN Legal Advisory Council. I am an attorney and partner in a Minnesota law firm that specializes in business and intellectual property law services.

I earned a Masters of Arts in Special Education in 1989. I worked as a Special Education Director for a Psychiatric Hospital in New Mexico followed by Special Education teaching in Minnesota.

Since that time, I earned my law degree from William Mitchell College of Law. I wrote a book on intellectual property policies in the United States federal government and advised the Office of the President of the United States on intellectual property policy in technology programs. A year later, I acted as a commentator and writer on statutes for the Government of Bulgaria.

My firm held an international conference on Biotechnology and Ethical issues in 1999. Since that time, I have worked as a lawyer in business and public policy issues related to biotechnology, the Internet, and software.

I have a strong interest in promoting ethical distribution of medical care and medicines. I look forward to advising the ISN Board in legal and public policy decisions.
