Hi, I am Sherry Young, your ISN CFS/Fibromyalgia Guide and an ISN Story Editor.
I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in January 2002 after a lengthy struggle between mind and body. I did not have time to be sick, but finally I could not ignore my body any longer. I had to leave a job I loved as it was physically more than I could handle. I am in the process of filing for disability. My husband and children are very supportive and always willing to pitch in to do what is needed.
I enjoy reading, writing, and surfing the net for new and useful information. I have recently taken up cross stitching, and it has only taken me five days to get 100 stitches done!
I became involved with ISN early in my battle when I was struggling for answers. I decided to volunteer as a Story Editor because it is something I enjoy doing and I feel like I am contributing to something worthwhile. The Fibromyalgia Guide just fell into place sometime after that.
My personal story is online at Sherry: Fibromyalgia, Hypothyroidism and Raynaud's
