FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: The Scoring for Scleroderma women’s soccer tournament, which was held on June 19, 2006, at the Canton Sports Plex, in Canton, Massachusetts was a huge success!

There were 40 women registered to play in tournament and spots available for walk-ins to register. Many who are unable to play in the tournament generously donated their time and money to making this a success. Special thanks go to our entire terrific fundraising team and to my brother, Bill Alexson.

Scoring for Scleroderma logoAmerican Acoustical Contractors Corporation in Randolph, Massachusetts made a comprehensive donation of $1000.00! We are thrilled to have received donations for our raffle from Staples, Six Flags New England, Water Country and the New England Revolution as well as gift cards from Rick’s Café and Albert’s Restaurant.

Subway restaurants generously donated ten gift cards and Dick’s Sporting Goods donated $100 in gift cards as well as team coupon packs for everyone in the tournament. The Bank of Canton, AGAR, Sysco and The Lottery also donated give away items.

Scoring for Scleroderma T-Shirt Since the World Cup is going on now, we set up the teams with names of countries. After a hot night and two and a half hours of play team Argentina came in first and walked away with a fabulous Scoring for Scleroderma t-shirt.

Team USA followed, taking third was team Germany, fourth was team Portugal and finishing up was team Brazil.

Everyone had a great time and generously donated to this worthy cause! At this time, the tournament has raised over $5,000 with donations still coming in!

Believe it or not, our next fundraiser is already getting underway!
