| Pity Party Story by Judy T. |
| shelley...a pity party? you want a virtual pity party because you have no solid diagnosis yet, as it changes on every doctor visit? hah! i got your undiagnosis beat. i want a pity party for the 44 plus years i have been diagnosed! lol sheesh! what a life! you do have a few problems, though. i also have the raynauds and Sjögren's. in addition i have pulmonary hypertension and lung involvement (am on oxygen 24/7). you still want that party? my thyroid quit working a bunch of years back, the calcinosis makes me nuts and i am soooo tired all the time. none of my arms and legs work right and i'm constantly dropping things. my feet, ankles and legs swell up so much all the time i reach for the lasix first thing in the morning not the toothpaste (that comes just after). and then, to top it all off, just before christmas, i fell down and broke and dislocated my left arm. i'm not really doing a poor ee cummings imitation, i'm foregoing caps until i can use two hands again. actually, i kinda like this look...may use it later anyway. then, i turn on the tv and that baywatch is on with all those poor skinny, underfed, girl who can't afford to wear clothes prancing around doing things that are just impossible.and you want a pity party? wait a minute! move on over, i'm joining you! jude, tired from all this one-handed typing |
