Forums and Message Boards are
the same thing. You may read all the articles posted on the
board, and also post your questions, comments, or replies.
Moderated boards are the safest, as all messages are reviewed
by a moderator before posting which spares the board members
from unwanted postings.
If you are concerned about Internet security (and you should
be) and your personal privacy, we recommended that you use
a Screen Name rather than your actual name. You can also
post using a different mailbox, such as free ones offered
through Hotmail and
many others.
Remember, never give out personal information over the Internet
unless you know for sure who you're dealing with. Unfortunately,
there have been instances of flaming and spamming even in
our usually safe and well-moderated Scleroderma online community. |
