Join our free Sclero Forums, to share support and information. You can participate in the forum by reading and posting messages and photos online. Our community is well-moderated by ISN Support Specialists who help members follow the Forum Guidelines which help to keep the list focused on providing support to people affected by scleroderma or related symptoms throughout the world.
Since we serve an international community of all ages, we welcome messages that offer general support and comfort, suitable for people of all religions, walks of life, and political persuasions.
Sclero Forums also offers daily news headlines about scleroderma, autoimmune diseases and patient stories from our www.sclero.org Newsroom.
Our support services volunteers go through orientation and training, and strive to follow ISN guidelines and policies. They carefully review each message before it is approved, and they work together as a team in an effort to try to provide good coverage around the clock.
Our experience has been that unmoderated message boards become quickly over-run with sales messages, pornography, sermons, disreputable medical information, and foul language. Furthermore, they are used by drug addicts to try to find unsuspecting sources for pain killing or mood altering drugs. They are also subject to fundraising by illegitimate agencies pretending to serve the scleroderma community, and rife with the usual Internet cons of people trying to gather personal information (credit card numbers, birthdates, vacation plans) from unsuspecting participants.
Our moderating team works very hard to minimize this interference in our community. If you most desire a free-for-all message board, where you can say anything no matter how unwelcome or offensive to others, you would definitely want to join another list.
