Alex: Mother of Daughter with Morphea

My seven-year-old daughter has been diagnosed with Morphea.

Baby Finches by Shelley Ensz My seven-year-old daughter has been diagnosed with Morphea. She developed a chest lesion within two months. We took her to our pediatrician who then referred us to a dermatologist. He thought that she only would have the one chest lesion and prescribed penicillin and a topical cream. Within two more months time, she developed multiple red bumps on her right thigh which then turned into lesions.

The dermatologist then referred us to a pediatric dermatologist at Emory, in Atlanta, Georgia. We are going to that appointment soon. We are wondering if anyone out there has a similar story. We need more information regarding this kind of Morphea.

Thank you for reading our story. Please respond if you have learned any information that might help us with our precious seven year old daughter.
