For a long time, she had difficulty finding a doctor who knew something about scleroderma. She was diagnosed with it in 1997. She had all the symptoms that go along with it. When we took her to the hospital, they gave her the breathing tests and then put her on a respirator. She died.

I wonder if the respirator was the best thing, since her lungs and organs were hardening. She was seventy-eight years old when she died.

She was a beautiful lady. Her children and my dad miss her very much.
