Lisa S: Morphea

Most doctors seem to just look confused as I explain it.
Butterflies for Lisa by Ione Bridgman, ISN Artist I was first diagnosed with morphea when I was twelve. I started getting bruise-like marks on my legs and midsection. They did a biopsy on the mark on my waist and gave me the diagnosis. The dermatologist sent me home with a couple of different creams to try and nothing helped. Over the next couple of years I did not really think of it much, since the marks stopped showing up after about a year.

I now have them all over my midsection, on my legs and ankle, and I think I may be getting a new one on my neck. I have been having pain in my muscles and joints, especially my right knee. It seems that nobody in the state knows much about it and most doctors seem to just look confused as I explain it.

I am nineteen now and I am just wondering if this could get any worse and if I should be getting it checked out more with a specialist. Any advice is good advice! Thanks!
