Stephanie L: Morphea

Like many others I have read about, I am worried it will show up on my face.

Yellow Canna by Sherrill Knaggs, ISN Artist Hi. My name is Stephanie. I am thirty years old and I have been just diagnosed with morphea three weeks ago.

About six months ago I got a purple, red, white markings on my left breast and waited to get it checked out.

So far it has only spread on my breast and I have not had any other spots. Like many others I have read about, I am worried it will show up on my face.

I am still having testing to confirm that it is morphea and not generalized scleroderma. I have also had numbness in my arms, legs and face for the past two months. The doctors do not believe they are related to each other, but it does seem strange that it happened within the same year. They thought maybe MS, but my MRI came back normal. They now think that is because my B12 is low.

Going through all this has taught me an important life lesson; to live each day to the fullest. You never know what each day may bring.

Has anyone else had morphea on their breast? If so, I would like to hear your story.
