Instructions, Logo & Listing |
Once your
site has been accepted for membership in the SWA: |
|
Three
Steps: Agreement, Logo, Listing |
Your
membership will be complete with these three steps:
1. Read SWA
Membership Agreement
2. Install Logo & Hyperlink
3. Submit Your Site Listing
|
SWA
MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENT |
The SWA logo
is copyrighted, and its use is granted to SWA members only
under the following conditions. By placing the SWA logo on
your website, you agree to the following terms: |
1.
One Full Page Requirement |
You will
maintain at least one full web page which is devoted to Scleroderma-related
information, and that qualifying page must be primarily of
a non-commercial (non-selling) nature. |
2.
Legal and Decent |
The SWA logo
is not allowed to appear on any web site or printed page
which fails to comply with any legal obligations, including
but not limited to, obligations imposed by copyright, secrecy,
defamation, decency, and export laws. Neither shall SWA sites
knowingly link to such materials. The SWA reserves the right
to rescind membership in the event of any infraction. |
3.
SWA Logo Requirement/Waiver |
The hyperlinked
SWA logo must appear on your main Scleroderma page. Waiver: If
your site disallows all graphics (as some medical centers
do), you may apply for a logo waiver by emailing swa-logo-waiver@sclero.org. |
Linking
Encouraged |
Members are also encouraged
(but not required) to liberally use the hyperlinked SWA
logo, button, or plain old link (Scleroderma:
Sites to Surf!) elsewhere on their site.
The more visible the SWA logo is, the
easier it will be for people to find Scleroderma information.
And the more we all post the logo and links, the greater
the traffic is for all of us, because we have a truly user-friendly
Internet community! |
Placement
of SWA Logo |
We recommend that you
place the logo on the bottom of your page(s), because it
will encourage people to review your site offerings before
electing to surf another site. Also, a fairly standard
placement gives SWA site visitors a reliable place to look
for the logo.
However, when the bottom
placement isn't feasible (for whatever reason),
simply place the SWA logo anywhere on the page. |
New "Scleroderma
Sites to Surf!" Logos |
All
of these logos have been gif-shrunk to be the lowest
possible bytes and to be fast-loading, so please do
not put these through any further compression. |

|
1. Right-click on any
of the logos above and save it to your web directory.
2. Hyperlink the graphic to: http://www.sclero.org/support/swa/a-to-z.html
3. Upload your page(s) and the new graphic file to your server.
4. Then test it to make sure that if you click on the logo,
it brings up the SWA master listing.
(The new logos were
very generously designed & donated to the SWA by
Judy Tarro. Judy is webmaster of SD
World, which offers a free email list, message
board, and ICQ chat.) |
SWA
Listing or Revision Form |
Sites which fall only into
the Support
Group listing category receive the standard one-line
listing by state. Support Group sites with at least a full
page of additional Scleroderma-related information
may qualify for a Web
Site listing, also.
The SWA Web Site listing format is standard,
and includes one paragraph describing the web site, and
another giving webmaster credentials. (See SWA
Descriptions) We'll help edit or polish your listing
so just enter what you can and we'll take it from there. |
