  1. Hi Jen, Definitely items to call ahead of time and let your doctor know about. Also, many people have UTI's without any symptoms, so it might be a good idea to get that checked out. Please let us know what you find out.
  2. I know exactly what you are talking about, but I don't know the answer. For me, I pretty much have to balance out the day every day. I make sure I don't plan more than what I can one major event a day. Depending on my energy level that one event could be showering and getting dressed for the day. Other times it's a doctor appointment, or grocery shopping. Really listen to your body and plan accordingly. My motto for quite sometime now is "Pace not Race"
  3. Hi Karen, I am so sorry. My thoughts will be with you.
  4. Hi Erin, Great news! I'm glad you were happy with your visit and I adore your positive attitude. We'll all hope for the best.
  5. Hey Barefut, Hope you can regain some energy soon. I for one don't sleep well and I find I almost do better on a night when I don't get much sleep versus the night when I actually get a solid 7 hours. I had a good night sleep last night and today I feel out of it. Not sure what the reasoning is behind that, but I can certainly relate to your issue!
  6. Hi Connie, Welcome to the sclero forums. I can really relate to the comment you made about not looking very sick, so some people just don't get it. At this point in the game, I just don't care. Those who are close to me understand, and the rest can take a hike as far as I'm concerned. Welcome!
  7. Hi, I know one of the things my rheumatologist checks for each visit is are for sores in my mouth. I have only had a couple. But I don't know of anything that you can use to permanently keep them at bay.
  8. Hi Micheal, Thanks for this information. I think there will be several on this board that feel a bit better after reading it. Play a lawyer on TV huh? My my we have a celebrity amongst us. :)
  9. Oh Patty, I am so sorry. There is nothing worse than to feel hope of seeing a specialist and then to be dismissed or feel like you didn't get anything out of the visit!!! Looking forward to hearing about your blood tests.
  10. Hi! Things sound very rough for you right now. I'm so sorry. I do see a naturopathic doctor in addition to my regular doctors. I think everyone is a bit different so I don't think it would do you much good for me to rattle off everything she has done for me, but I have to tell you she's been a lifesaver! She has helped me soooooo much. My advice to you if you think you want to try this additional help is too book an appointment with a naturopath and let them decide what your body needs. Everyone is different.
  11. Hi, I have not had this done, but I know many here have. So I'm sure you will hear from someone that has experience with it. I just wanted you to know I'm sorry you have to go through this. *hugs* I hope things turn out fine. :)
  12. Oh Erin how frustrating!! :o If it were me, YES I would call them back and demand that you see the doctor you want. You are paying for this, it's YOUR health, you should see who YOU want to see. Maybe things are different where you are, but that kind of thing wouldn't fly here. Keep us posted.
  13. Hi Laura, Welcome to the Sclero Forums. I'm sorry you are so ill. :( I am on plaquenil which helps with fatigue and pain. I occasionally have to take something else, but I sure try not too.
