  1. I was just recently diagnosed with Vasculitis. Does anyone else have this?
  2. Thanks Shelley. You're right about same symptoms and different diagnoses. I think that we tend to do that a lot. Thanks for the soft warm hug, right back to you. Gizelle
  3. Thanks to all of you who gave me feedback on my post. I did see my general practitioner and she said that it was symptoms from my Fibromyalgia. I did do some checking and all the symptoms that I had last week were most likely from the Fibro. Thanks to all of you that replied.
  4. Hi all. I haven't posted in a couple of years, I think that long or longer. I wanted to ask if any of you suffer from weak legs, arms and feel and look shaky all over. I also get so tired I literally can't stay up. The weakness is lasting longer then it did when it started, which was about 3 or so months ago. I can barely walk or lift anything. My doctors don't know what's going on. I was diagnosed about 3 years ago. The doctor doesn't know what kind I have. For two days last week I was exhausted, short of breath and my chest felt like someone was sitting on it, that's also when I wa
  5. I twitch so bad when I'm sleeping, that my husband can't sleep in the same bed with me. I wake myself up all night long. I also always wake up with one arm up in the air, it don't fall down, it's really weird. Do any of you have any of these problems? Gizelle
  6. Hi everyone. It has been a long time since I've posted anything. I was sent to a Dermatologist last week and he is sure I have Crest. He is going to see all my blood work and then see me again in a couple of weeks. He said I do have skin thickness on my arms to my elbows. He said that my fingers are showing a little Sclerodactly. I'm not sure how I feel about it. I'm certainly no surprised because my Rummie did suspect Scleroderma. I guess I'll have to educate myself on Crest. My general practitioner had to put me on pain medication for all the pain I feel, every where. I also have a lot of ne
  7. I couldn't believe it when I read the news about Sherrill. Like many of you, she also helped me a lot and gave me lots of encouragement. She is someone I will never forget. Gizelle
  8. Yes, i have Fibro, too. My Rumatologist diagnosed me with it about 3 years before the Scleroderma. He told me that usually when you get Fibro, it's because of another underlying disease. He didn't say which disease, though. Gizelle
  9. I hope things go good for your grandaughter. My thoughts are with your family. Let us know how she is. Gizelle
  10. This is probably the only place you can come to, and NOT FEEL ALONE. We here, are all going through the same thing, pain, exhaustion, anger, sadness, etc. It doesn't matter how people, that are not sick, try to understand, they just plain can't. But having them try does help, a lot. I did lose some friends and that hurt very bad but I still have my family and thats all that counts. I'm sure they get overwhelmed too, just like us. I know that if the tables were turned and it was my husband who had this disease, i would have a hard time understanding all the different things that happen. Lik
  11. I sure can relate to your muscle pain. I was told it was from either the Scleroderma or the Fibromialgia, who knows. I just know it's there, always. I take pain medications, but they only make the pain somewhat bearable. I don't know anything about your sores. I don't have any of those symptoms, thank heavens. I hope this helps some what. Gizelle
  12. Tammy I also have the same problem. I had to retire from my job. I find the only thing that helps is just plain SLEEP and lots of it. Good luck, Gizelle
  13. I saw my general practitioner today and she said the pain in my buttocks and legs, is Sciatica. She is sending me back to my rumatologist. I don't know what he'll do, but like she said their are meds for Scleroderma. I'll let you all know more when I see him. Thanks, Gzielle
  14. Thank you all for your replies and ideas. I've had tests previously and they were fine. The MRI did show some buldging disc , but the doctor said that happens to everyone, my neurologist that is. I'm seeing my general practitioner on Monday and she is sending me back to my Rumatologist for cortozone shots. The doctor said it wasn't siatica, but they did try every nerve pain meds known to man and no relief. Same as usual wait and see, in the meanwhile suffer great. Thanks everyone, Gizelle
  15. I have very sore hips. I have a hard time even touching them. I've been going to physiotherapy for a long time, but no relief. The pain is actually worse in my buttocks and down the back of my legs, to the back of my knees. My muscles are very tight everywhere. My general practitioner said if the physio didn't work I can go back to my Rumatologist and get cortisone in both hips. Have any of you had this problem. I'm so sick and tired of pain. I take perocet and pain medication. It only helps me cope a little. Gizelle
