    Increase in female problems?

Thank you ladies! I am definitely at the stage where I wonder what is the sclero and what isn't. This is such a great forum for me since I can't seem to find a doctor in Washington yet who is familiar with this. And my health insurance is not the best (that is putting it lightly) so I feel like I have to be as educated as possible in order to be a better advocate for myself. My dentist seemed to know more than my regular doctors! This forum is a great place to come and get familiar with my disease. It's such a comfort to have a safe place to ask questions and just feel like I am not the only person with this. Thank you again for your replies! Have a great day. :emoticon-hug:
  2. Hello ladies. Although I have had mulitple symptoms for years I wasn't diagnosed with CREST until this April. (I'm 55) That was when I finally found a doctor who would listen to me after my symptoms were getting worse. Anyway, with the diagnosis things are still new and sometimes a little scary to me and it seems I have so many questions! I wonder at every twitch if that is the sclero or not. Here is what I would like to know. I've noticed an increase in vaginal infections. I was checked out by my OB/GYN last fall (before I knew I had CREST) and everything was fine but I just seem to get infections easier now. Has anyone else had the same problem? I have waited for weeks to ask this question in this forum because I am a little embarrased. But I just wondered if anyone else has had the same problem? If so, how do you deal with it? Thank you in advance!!

    Hiatal Hernias....

Hi all, It sounds like hiatal hernia is a big club! I am new to my CREST diagnosis and just had my barium swallow test Monday. They called to tell me my results and now I guess I can add hiatal hernia to the list of stuff that is going on with me. I had to look it up because I didn't know what that was. Seems like I have had a bunch to look up but at least I am finally getting answers now. Take care and hope everyone has a great day. :emoticon-hug:

 Happy Tuesday everyone, I decided to acutally put (2) 5 minute appointments in my daily calendar at work. They pop up on my computer screen as reminders at 10 AM and 3 PM and they are just called "OHM" (like the meditation mantra). So when I get the reminder I stop what I am doing, sit back in my chair or take a quick walk, and relax. I think about anything other than work or anything stressful. As a matter of practice I make every muscle relax the moment I see the reminder on my screen. It is amazing what even 5 minutes will do to bring you back to a center place. Jan :emoticon-hug:

First of all, Happy Mother's Day to al the other moms out there. I am new to all of this - my diagnosis and this forum. I have a recent diagnosis of CREST and going for more tests soon. I have had health problems for years and, until recently, have pretty much been told my problems were either in my head, nothing to worry about, or just something to be lived with. (Sound familiar?) Over the past year things had gotten worse and new symptoms appeared so I kept talking to doctors until I found someone who would help. Now that I know what is going on with me I have been trying to find out as much as I can. Last year I went to my eye doctor because I suddenly had a lot of floaters in my right eye. A lot of floaters! I was concerned but she said that even though there were a lot of them I didn't need to be worried. But that was before I know what I have. I got them at the same time my other symptoms were worsening. Has anyone else had the same problem? If so, do they get worse? Are they part of Sclero? Thank you. :o)
