  1. Hello, I'm wondering if anyone can help me. I have localized morphea which has finally burnt out and after 3 year of taking methotrexate I came off the medication in February 2016. However for the past week I have found that if I apply any pressure to the areas where I have scarring (mainly my arms) it gets very hot, itchy and inflamed. This does then calm after a little while. I have also had a cold this week so wondered if it might be linked to my body trying to fight the cold and therefore my immune system is overreacting a bit? I just wondered if anyone else had experienced anything s
  2. Hello, Thank you for the advice. I think I'll mention it to my doctor at my next appointment. I know there are probably other factors that are contributing to it e.g. I recently moved in with my boyfriend and started a new job. I know I've also been quite stressed which probably doesn't help. I have been having other symptoms with my morphea, I get a lot of headaches, stomach acid, Raynaud's and joint pain (particularly in my hands) which is not fun. 3. Hello, I was diagnosed with Morphea in January 2012 and have been on Methotrexate since September 2012, I am also taking folic acid. I just wondered if anyone else has experienced weight gain whilst being on Methotrexate? Since I started it I have put on around 8 pounds and no matter what I do I can't seem to lose it. Thanks, Nicky :)

My next appointment with my doctor is not until the 21st of August so I have some time to consider my options and I will definitely use the information you have provided to help me. I will keep you updated with my decision and progress in the future. Amanda Thorpe unfortunately I cannot attend the meeting on the 26th, I am currently studying for my accountancy finals so my weekends are spent studying, but I will keep my eyes open for future events and try and attend
  5. Hello, I was diagnosed with Morphea Scleroderma about a year ago. I am 22 and it is mainly on my arms and shoulders. I have been seeing a dermatologist as my local hospital and she has recently suggested I try Methotrexate. I was just wondering if anyone else had tried this and kind of results it gave and if they experienced any side effects? I was also offered the option of a PUVA treatment so I also wondered if anyone had used this and what results they had experienced? I'm currently trying to decide which is the best option. I also wondered if I should attempt to see a specialist who
