I have been a systemic sclerosis patient for over 12 years now. I am 31 years old. Along the way I developed several digital ulcers on my fingertips. However, for the first time in 12 years I have developed one such ulcer on the right big toe. It is on the corner where the nail meets the skin. It is very painful and uncomfortable. I cannot wear closed shoes because it is painful and if I wear open footwear, I am either stepped upon or I hit my foot into daily objects.
Have any of you experienced ulcers on your feet? If yes, can you please tell me how you dealt with it and things you did to make it less painful .
