Firstly let me say I've already gleaned a great deal of information from this forum but I wanted to run my particular situation past people here.
I went to my general practitioner recently with dry mouth/ulcers and he ran a series of specific ANA tests. SCL 70 was 1.4 which is regarded as positive. He did not seem to run the other test you mention on the forum. The general ANA pattern test. Is this required also? I've also read that you can have false positives with SCL 70 which is why the general ANA positive/negative test is useful.
I have an appointment with a rheumatologist tomorrow so hopefully I will have more information then. Is there anything in particular I should ask of him?
