  1. My father in law was just diagnosed with systemic scleroderma; it seems to be moving fast into his lungs. As I research more about scleroderma, I am learning that exposure to silica dust can trigger it. My husband works with tile and ceramics and has constant exposure to silica dust. I believe he should stop immediately due to possible genetic inheritance and the silica dust being a bad combination. He is telling me I’m overreacting, perhaps I am? Does anyone have any knowledge or advice they can share? I’m feeling very overwhelmed.
