Sandy B
Hi, I'm happy today because, the sun is shining, the pansies in my garden are flowering and the trees are just about to burst......AND I managed to pull the bed out so I could clean behind it, a year ago this was unheard of, so onwards and upwards, (one small step for mankind but a huge one for me). What has made you happy today? Sandy B
Jeannie McClelland
Hi, I'm happy for much the same reasons - the sun is shining brightly here too, my little apricot tree is in full bloom, and a long awaited and much wanted project to replace carpet with wood is progressing nicely. Just think, no more dragging a vacuum around - I can replace it with a dust mop. Woohoo! Hope everyone's day is great. :happy-day:
Amanda Thorpe
I'm happy too!!! I managed to have a bath and wash my hair...both on the same day!! Also when my husband comes home from work he's off for 4 days so tonight we're having a take away, watching MasterChef and stuffing ourselves with chocolate eggs! :emoticons-yes: Have a great weekend all! Lulu
I'm happy because I feel better today that I have felt in months. It's like all the fatigue has disappeared overnight. :emoticons-yes: Part of me wants to know why, the other part says just enjoy the feeling!

miocean
I'm happy today because I am feeling so much better since my kidney transplant. It is amazing! I will be in isolation for several more weeks and am starting to get a little bored. I am very limited as far as my activities but I think when I am able I will have much more interest in taking care of things. But it it well worth it.\\miocean
miocean
I'm happy again today because for the first time in 6 years I went in the ocean! Before sclero I swam a mile almost everyday, then with the dialysis catheter I couldn't get wet. All I could manage to do was get in and float around a little but it felt marvelous. miocean
enjoytheride
Miocean- that sounds wonderful. It's good to hear that you are better and better. Your reward for all the patience and persistance. I must admit to a bit of jealousy. Our section of the Pacific is beautiful and dramatic- also about 54 degrees most of the summer. Also I've been there two times where people were hauled off in an ambulance due to shark bite. Not floating kind of beaches. But I have stood on the beach and watched whales swim by. enjoytheride
Oh and I'm feeling good today too. I finally shut my old dog up in the laundry room for the night. With letting her out and my having to get up for myself (which never coordinated,) I was getting up 5 or 6 times a night. But I felt too guilty to put her out of the bedroom where she spent every night of her life. I thought I would have to clean up each morning but she adjusted after the first two nights and doesn't seem as traumatized as I thought she would be. I guess it was more important to me than her. Seems she trained me vey well. :) Three nights of good sleep is a wonderful pick-me-up.
miocean
I'm happy today because yesterday we fulfilled the dream of our first "Dream Child." She is 17 and suffers from a bone disease that has caused her to have 8 surgeries in the past 5 years. Her dream was to meet the Jonas Brothers. It wasn't easy, but we were able to make it happen thanks to contacts from Hollywood Records. She was thrilled!
janey
Janet, What an awesome gift! You should be so proud that YOU made it happen. Congratulations!
enjoytheride
Miocean- what a wonderful thing you did. A 17 year old's idea of perfection........... Today, I spent a relatively lazy day. After animal chores and paperwork in the morning, I took the afternoon off and went to the library. I now have a bag full of British (and a few American) mystery novels to read. Maybe the British members of the forum can tell me why so many great mysteries are written there. I have been through several series. On two of the writers, I haunt the internet to see if another in their series have been published. May Susanna Gregory write forever...........
enjoytheride
There are a million things I need to do outside- but it rained yesterday and today. The goats are huddled in their sheds, the horses under the trees- and I'm snugged into the house relaxing. As the song says- you may not get what you want but with luck you may get what you need. And I really need this time off of chores. Books, computers and the heater- what an old lady I've become. :)
