Feeling low

8 posts in this topic

Feeling really low at the moment, thought I was starting to pick up the pieces but having a bad day today.Feels like my joints are 250 years old today. Feeling very sorry for myself. Haven't actually said why me... Yet! But have been in years asking "is this how it's gonna be?"

So pleased I found this site as it a great source of info, still trying to do lots of research on this condition:>(

Hi Caz,

Sorry you are feeling down today, but you know what? It's okay to have a pity party now and then. I do it all the time! As a matter of fact, here is something that may help you with that pity party.

Seriously, I do hope that tomorrow brings a brighter day. Just know that you are not alone! :emoticon-hug:

Warm and gentle hugs,

Thanks Pamela, will be looking through pity party later. I know I am not alone and there are so many people coping with much more. Think this is just still a bit of a shock to my system to take all of this in. My positive nature keeps disappearing!

Hi Caz

Welcome, sorry to hear you are having a bad time just now...I certainly can't do as well as the link from Sweet here, but I'm in for your party. :D

Sending good wishes your way!

Hello Caz

I'm afraid that you are going to have bad days, it's all part of the process of moving from the realm of wellbeing into the realm of not so wellbeing! As you can see from Sweet's link we're well prepared for such days here.

Take care and keep posting.

<<My positive nature keeps disappearing!>>

Hi Caz ,

Welcome to the group, but sorry it's because of your diagnosis. I just want to warn you about something called 'autoimmune induced depression.' The same process that is attacking your body can also affect your brain/chemical levels. My own son went into depression after diagnosis. Please don't hesitate to talk to your doctor about needing meds, for depression, if you are having problems coping. There may be nothing you can do to prevent it.

Take care, Everyone.

Margaret

Hi Caz,

Welcome to the Forums!

Didn't you know you have to have the bad days in order to truly appreciate the good ones?!! Yep, tedious and trying though they may be, they really do make you glad when you feel better. It's that living in the moment thing too. Right now I can barely swallow, but, mmmm, think how nice that cup of creamy hot chocolate is going to feel as sip by sip it slides down. Even if my esophagus doesn't appreciate it, my taste buds and tummy will, my nose will love the smell, and my hands will love cradling that warm mug.

I hope something really pleasurable happens for you real soon.

Warm hugs and best wishes,
