Joint pain question

Recommended Posts

Hi debo_92. Every time I get stressed, whether physical or mental, my joints hurt. Yesterday I was really upset over something and woke this morning to stiffness and pain.

It's good motivation for me to mellow up. I rationalized my way this morning towards calmness by saying the issue was not worth the misery.

I imagine that something like a cold, which causes aches anyway, would increase pain. Hopefully you are well on the road to recovery now.

Yep, sure do. I came back from a trip to visit #1 son and his family in September with some kind of upper respiratory bug I had caught from him. The joint pain actually put me in bed for a couple of days. Fortunately I arrived home on a Friday so my handsome hubby had the whole weekend to wait on me!

Well this is another nasty little problem this illness causes. I felt so bad I thought I might die and was okay with that! I was so glad on Sunday when I felt like I might actually live and was okay with that too!!! Thanks for responding; at least I know I am not the only one who has this issue.

My hubby always calls something he doesn't care for a 'feature', as in "This house features brick-veneer walls in the kitchen". So I added that weekend's minor (?) agony to my list of features of this rotten disease. I felt like I'd been hit by a truck and then someone scraped me up and put me in a cement mixer with a good load of stone aggregate and tumbled me for 48-hours.

I hear you about being okay with dying and then okay with living!

Hi debo,

I'm SO GLAD you are feeling better now. To feel that way is no fun and to feel BETTER helps us appreciate those days!

(Jeannie, I'm glad your handsome hubby is so good to you because I'm thinking you DESERVE it)!

I'm also happy you are feeling better...you ARE, aren't you?

That's the wonderful thing about coming here, debo...we can ALL sound off about feeling bad and we are supported and cared about :emoticons-yes:

I ALSO concur with you and Jeannie about dying...and living!

Yep, I'm another one with joint pain, I've had it for years. I find that if I do too much during the day, lo and behold, it is there in the evening. Sharp, stabbing pain that doesn't ease up unless I have painkillers.

Another symptom to my list.

Take care

Summer

Hi Debo,

I totally agree with you and the other members about the joint pain; the anti inflammatories I take certainly help, but of course they're only masking the pain, not actually curing it. Another jolly Sclero symptom!!!

Hearing your's and Jeannie's remarks about living and dying reminds me that my husband always says if he feels ill that he'll live.......but he won't enjoy it!!! ;)
