Reflux Medication

5 posts in this topic

Sometime ago I asked if others had medication for reflux suddenly stop working. Since then I have tried two other medications and they both worked. But I really wanted to keep using the same medication as I also have osteopenia and the medication I was using was supposed to cause the least calcium loss from bones.

Anyway, I gave the old medication one last try but I decided to take it before I ate in the morning and after the last meal in the evening even though it is not required by the directions for use.

So far it has been working well. I know things tend to come and go but I hope it keeps working.

I just want to let anyone know who might have the same problem that this may be something to try.

Hi Enjoytheride,

Am glad to hear your meds are working :VeryHappy: I, too, recently had my reflux meds changed as they stopped working and at times my new one seems to do nothing but other days works fine. I will try your regime and see if that helps.

Will keep you updated.

It's nice to hear some good news!

:thank-you:

Hi,

It works for me too!! I decided to have a go at it a week or so back as I'm on steroids at the moment as I have reacted to the immune-suppression drugs....again! The consultant has called it a day with the quote "Lynn we have tried and failed and I'm not going to put you through any more", I must admit I do feel better.

Glad its working for you too.

Happy days

hugs

Lynn x

I just want to say that I enjoyed reading this thread. It reminds me yet again that sometimes it isn't the medication we take, but the timing of it (or something else, like meals or foods that affect it) that makes a difference. I have found that to be the case many times, with various meds, probably more that over time, I've just forgotten the instructions.

Warm Hugs,
