Dave Is Really Sick

19 posts in this topic

Not sure how to post this without mentioning spiritual things etc.

But Dave is really sick after his stem cell transplant. In case you haven't checked his wife's blog. From what I can gather he's fighting really hard and she said they're in survival mode.

So look up, take a moment of silence, send "warm hugs", do what ever you do. I believe this helps as unscientific as this may sound.

Im sending my blessings. Hope you do too!! :)

Mike,.

Thanks for all your thoughts. I have had an outbreak of fevers which has sent me back to the hospital twice. Apparently, the dr.'s think it is a delayed reaction to a drug they gave me pre and post transplant called Atg. When my wife said "survival mode" she did not mean that there was anything life threatening going on. She simply met we were pushing ahead. I didn't want their to be any misunderstanding. I am back in the hospital now, but I am told these readmissions due to fevers are not unusual. In fact right now my fever has broken and I am doing much better. Thank you for all your thoughts and healing messages.

Dave

Hi Dave,

I am so glad that you are not in a life threatening situation! Thank you for clarifying your status. Hopefully the dr.'s will get things under control and you will be out of the hospital and feeling better in no time. It sounds like you are in good hands! Keep fighting!

Dave,

It's so great hearing from you and that you handling the post transplant problems. Sorry that you are having any type of reaction that has sent you back to the hospital. At least they know what it is and how to deal with it. Glad that the fever has broken. Hope you are able to go back home very soon. You've got the attitude it takes to make this thing happen.

Big Hugs and positive thoughts to you,

Janey
