I just got diagnosed with morphea and have been having a symptom that has been ignored by both my primary and dermatologist. The morphea is on my upper ribcage and my abdomen, there is a faint red line connecting the two. I have been feeling a really intense pressure in my rib cage, almost as if I were pregnant again and the baby was punching me in the ribs. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi Maddywycoff,

Welcome to these forums!

I'm sorry to hear that you've recently been diagnosed with Morphea and are experiencing intense pressure in your ribcage.

I've included a link to our medical page and I must admit that I've not heard of the symptoms you describe in relation to morphea. I would therefore suggest that if you are worried by these symptoms, you should go back to your doctor/dermatologist for further investigations to be made. We do recommend that our members consult a listed scleroderma expert/dermatologist, as this complex disease does require specialist knowledge and expertise.

Kind regards,
