Joelf
Antibodies to aquaporins (AQPs) are frequent in patients with primary Sjögren’s syndrome (SS). Antibodies to AQPs (especially to AQP8 and AQP9) are frequent in SS patients and the likely important role of AQPs in salivary gland secretions justifies further research. Rheumatology, 08/31/2017. Numberoneladyboss
I was looking into aquaporins and antibodies that detect them. I wonder if those could be used in patients to help narrow down diagnosis or figure out treatments. I still have a lot of research and appoints with my doctor to figure out things for my disease management but it's really interesting finding all these highly informative sources! It makes me feel so much better now that I know more!
Joelf
Hi Numberoneladyboss, I was also very intrigued when I was first diagnosed and received the results of all my numerous tests. I spent many happy hours looking up all the details and comparing the results on the internet. Like you, I like to know exactly what I'm dealing with!!
