My toes are cold and sore most of the time and they have a tendency to get sores. Our little dime store here in town had toesy socks for 1 dollar, so I tried them; my sore toes no longer rub against other toes, cutting down on pain in my feet and the sores heal a lot faster

I even wear them to bed; also when it is cold outside I put a regular pair of socks over the top of my toes which keeps them stay toasty warm.

I send out good thoughts to everyone.

Hi Quiltfairy,

What a good idea! We’ve had sub zero temperatures in the UK this week (most unusual, as our winters tend to be wet, damp and not as cold) and the idea of individually wrapping each toe in a sock sounds very appealing!

I shall have to see if I can find a shop that will stock those socks.

Best wishes,

Long johns, thermal socks, thermal hat, gloves and a warm scarf for me in the UK this week.  Thinking of trying a snood next.

What a nice discovery, Quiltfairy. Thank you for sharing that with us!

I think your double-layer plan is exceptional.

I found years ago that I love gloves but get more Raynaud's with them; mittens keep my hands warmer.  It never crossed my mind (until now; so you get all the credit for this) to wear mittens over gloves to get the very best of both worlds.
