SCL-70 and ILD

Recommended Posts

Hello! I was diagnosed with diffuse Scleroderma and ILD (interstitial lung disease), with a positive Scl-70. I am 33 years old.

I am really glad there is a forum like this!

Are there many people here with ILD symptoms like being out of breath and constant drowsiness/fatigue? Have you found any good ways to cope with this other than just resting? Are there any people juggling a full time job with this condition?

My kl-6 marker ranges from 550-650 depending on the day and is gradually getting worse.

Also, I am wondering if people have given birth with this ILD lung condition. My doctor says that, though it’s not clear, there is a chance that symptoms could worsen.

Thank you in advance!

Hi Helen,

Welcome to these forums!

I'm sorry to hear that you've been diagnosed with diffuse scleroderma and ILD. I have ILD with limited scleroderma and to save boringly repeating myself, I've included a link to a recent thread describing my exact condition and the treatment I received. When first diagnosed I was older than thirty three and was not in employment, nor was I pregnant so the problem of working or giving birth whilst dealing with the disease didn't occur.

I've included links to our medical pages on Pulmonary Fibrosis and Fatigue, to give you some more information.

Kind regards,

Jo Frowde
