I Am Stepping Down From My Position As Manager

30 posts in this topic

Hi everybody,

Due to life complications (not my health........right now things are stable for me with my health), I am stepping down as the Manager of the Forums effective Friday, May 18th. I am also taking an extended leave of absence from my position as a support specialist.

I have greatly enjoyed being the manager of the forums and working with each of you. You all are the greatest support group a person could ask for. You made my job so easy! So, thank you, thank you, thank you to each of you! I will miss interacting with you all in the capacity of manager, but I am not going anywhere. I will still participate as a member of the forums (just probably not with the same frequency as I do now).

Warm wishes,

Heidi

I sure do hope everything turns out OK with your 'life complications.' Please keep posting, though, as I have learned so much from you.

Heidi, I had no idea how much stuff goes on behind these walls until you started training me. I am so impressed that you have managed to keep things running smoothly AND find time to talk to people and offer support, kindness and genuine friendship. You are one very important reason that the ISN forum support team is so effective. I know I will be able to cope with the technical side of things, because you are a great teacher and mentor. I only hope that some of your spirit will rub off as well. I do hope you enjoy your leave and that you come back posting as a member as often as possible.

Warm wishes,

Jefa

Although I don't know you personally -- it sure does feel like I do! I've come to regard you as a true friend indeed.

My blogs would never have gotten off the ground if it hadn't been for you and I wouldn't have learned so many different ways to spell stuff -- I'm English and you'd be surprised how many different way's you can spell humor or humour, color or colour. I even write on another board, an English site and I have to be really careful!

I'm so sorry to hear that you are stepping down but I fully understand the reasons. I too was a moderator and believe me there's more to it than people think! It got my brain cells working overtime!

I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the encouragement and help you've given to me, without that I wouldn't have the nerve to do half the stuff I'm now involved with and that my friend is down to you -- honestly!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. Please keep in touch.

With sadness in my heart

Keep well, strong and good luck in all that you do!

Heidi,

Everyone before me has said much of what I would also say. But I want to say that you have been a rock of stability for this Forum, and we will miss you!

Unfortunately stuff happens in life, and if we fight it we only hurt ourselves. This even more so when we have scleroderma, as I'm sure everyone will agree. So "go with the flow" and do what you have to do, knowing that you can relax with the capable hands of Carrie at the wheel of the manager's position!

Love and warm hugs,

You have been great for all of us. I won't say fare thee well. I am sure you will be heard from often. All my love and good wishes for all things good to you and yours. Sheryl

Awww Heidi,

I have a soft spot for you, and I'll miss you. You have such a kind heart and positive outlook not too mention that ton of knowledge you seem to always have at your fingertips!

I wish you well with the latest developments in your life. Do take care so that your health stays stable. And don't be a stranger! (I should talk...I've been the sclero.org professional lurker lately) Anyhoo, you're the best and you're passing a bright torch to Jefa who will carry it proudly!

Hi Heidi,

Mere words can't say how absolutely fabulous you have been as Sclero Forums Manager all these years! My goodness, it is nearly impossible to imagine you not being Manager. You've been an absolute delight to work with, always keeping us on track with everything -- and making it seem effortless to provide nonstop love and support and information for our members, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year!

I hope you have a terrific time off, for the next few weeks. I miss you already! And I look forward to hearing from you again very soon. You've always been simply de tops, in every way. And to top it off, you've done a tremendous job in selecting and training Carrie as our new Manager, too, making it a completely seamless transition. Well, I have tears in my eyes, so it's hard to keep on typing.

Hurry back!!!

Warm Hugs,
