Hi Sheryl,

I really appreciate that! Ever since you became a member, I knew you and I had to be soulmates! lol I say that because of so many commonalities we share! Whenever I see a post of yours, nine times out of ten... I'm nodding in agreement to what you're saying... as thoough I've been thinking the same thing... you just post it before I do! lol

Anyway, to answer you... yes, I've popped in a few times... just to see how all of you are doing. If there weren't time crunches (for me), I would post, but it's really been "something else" since February.

My hubby's ex.. with whom we remain good friends... has been terribly ill. In another thread, I mentioned that she has TTP (thrombotic thrombocytopenia purpura). We made several 400 mile trips to be with his/her kids/grands to be of whatever support we could offer. Three times, she died, three times, she rallied... I'm sure all must be able to place themselves in our sandals and know the roller coaster ride the family has been on through all of this.

In March, hubby and I made the decision to move back here and put our home up for sale. We had a home we loved and planned to live there for many years. March 7th, it was listed in the local newspaper... at 3:00 that afternoon, our house was sold. Our hearts soared when the folks who "fell in love with it" were a perfect fit... for that, we were so very grateful.

The move... went very smooth, but we got here on June 7th and I don't think we'll be unpacked for a bit longer.

We came here to care for my mother.. who is 81, nearly blind, on O2 24/7. However, we knew we had some "work" to do... so that's what's been going on... since we got here! My husband is a shaker and mover... which is a good thing, but as a sidenote: He and I have always worked together... so you know where that puts me! lol Really though, his youngest (36) has been right beside us most all the way... He's so awesome and I tell him all of the time (he is humble, so it's not easy to get him to believe me!)

Thanks to my hubby, his son and some others, we have the remodeling virtually done. It will be a good feeling to have our furniture and our stuff in place.

In the meantime, I've been fortunate enough to take care of my son's 6 year old a couple of days. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to be the most attentive of grandmas... the day I was to take care of him, some "good news" was sprung on us... our carpet and linoleum was going to be installedthe next day. So, we had to get two weeks of work done... in one day. When Jonathan's dad (my son) came to pick him up... I told him that Grandma wasn't much fun that day and Jonathan said, "Nope, Grandma wasn't"! I told him I would make it up to him! lol

My mother is still pretty independent, but once we get settled, a routine will be put in place... for her. Anyway, that's a whole 'nother book.

I've been doing fairly ok. I've taken on tasks (here) that I dearly love, but my body does retaliate, which means the following day.. or two.. I take easy. In spite of everything... I'm doing pretty ok.

I hope you are doing as well as can be, Sheryl.

Hugs to you...and all!

Susie, I clicked on your name. Then I clicked on send you a private message and also on send you an email. Maybe, you don't have your address open for others to send you a private message. Anyways, I always look forward to what you say and write also. I believe we have alot of things in common even our ages. I just live in the north and you somewhere in the southwest I believe. I am spend more and more time helping my mother out also. She lives 1 1/2 hours away so it gets hard when I am having my sleeping woes. Narcolepsy or what ever it is called. I go next week for my sleep study results from a neurologist and he will finally tell me if my case is severe enough to warrent a Bpap or Cpap machine. You moved and are taking care of others and I have been fooling around with insurance rituals since January. I have almost jumped every hoop, I hope. I should finally know something next Wednesday. I hope you are almost settled into your home and enjoying some of the work. What state are you in now? How many grandkids do you have? Between the two of you, yours and his, you should have quite a few. You should be able to click on my name and send me a message. Others have with no problem. Keep checking in with all of us. We miss our friends when they don't respond often. I've had my grandkids for this past week so I wasn't keeping up with all the posts. Today, I am catching up on all that has been happening. Sheryl
