Medical Alert Bracelets

8 posts in this topic

I was just started on Methotrexate and with all of the side effects that the medication has, the pharmacist recommended always having ID with me. Does anyone here wear one or keep a list of medications being taken in your wallet or purse?

Thanks for any input or suggestions that anyone has.

I have a list of my meds/conditions/doctors in my wallet and my husband's wallet for emergencies. It's also very handy for when doctors ask if your on any new meds. I've been thinking about getting an ID tag, but I can't decide between a bracelet or necklace - I don't like wearing either.

Spanky,

My husband keeps an updated list of my medications, but I do wear an ID necklace indicating I have a pacemaker. It has my hubby's cell phone number on it.

I pay $35.00 a year for MEDIC ALERT. I have a bracelet and all of my information is on file with them. It's a great comfort to know I have it.

Hi Spanky - I also have a Medic Alert bracelet. I am on so many medications and this way I know if there is ever an emergency, all they have to do is call that number. The back of the bracelet , besides and phone number, lists my condition and allergies. it's a safety net. Take care - Ann

I was thinking about getting a tag - something made for a more active lifestyle.

This might sound funny but they have this super cute dog tag, like the regular necklace dog tag but with 3 pink rhinestones. Maybe I'll get engraved: if appears lost I most likely am.

hugs,

Lisa
