barefut
Mine's pretty simple. I hate wearing shoes! :P I'm in flip flops from May until October. My parents had a time with me when I was a kid. I remember having my shoes duct taped to my feet once. Guess they were at wits end with me. Now I have the same problem with my oldest but I usually let it go. Where does your screen name originate from? Barefut
jefa
Good question, Barefut. I was like that as a kid and during the summer I find it difficult to keep shoes on except when I go out. In winter it is mostly thick socks in and lined boots when I go out. My display name was given to me many years ago by one of my production crew. He used it a bit sarcastically as it was difficult for him to take direction from a woman. It stuck, however, and the rest of the group joined in. I have been using it online for many years. Jefa (pronounced HAY' fa) is the feminine version of the Spanish word jefe which means chief or boss. My actual id is jefalump which is one of my husband's nicknames for me - chief lump, a play on heffalump - he buys me all kinds of cute little elephants. :)
Sweet
I should have been called Barefut or flipflop because I'm like you Barefut, I hate shoes! My screen name comes from the nickname my husband calls me. When we first met 20 years ago, he called me "Sweetness" and has ever since. "Sweet" pops out a lot too, so therefore my screen name. epasen
epasen is actually Epa Sen. One of my friend once said that Epa sounds good (nickname from Emmi), which was a joke at first, but now some people call me Epa. Sen means something like "late" in swedish. My last name is Myöhänen (Myohanen), and sen in finnish is myöhäinen, so there's only a one letter difference. :P
Vee
Well, mine isn't very creative and I don't think it could get any simpler. First letter of my name. Venessa. Only my closest friends have ever called me Vee, so I thought it would fit in nicely on the sclero boards, especially since you've all become so close to my heart. I also have another screen name that I sometimes use. It's "mommydude". My middle daughter was in the habit of calling everyone "dude" for a while, and she called me that one night. I told her that she was not to call her mommy that. So she said, "OK Mommydude!" and I've used it ever since. Her and my youngest still call me that once in awhile. I thought it was cute. jefa
Hi, Pamela. My first husband called me Sweetie because he didn't like either of my names, so we both called each other Sweetie most of the time. Once I asked my three year old son to call his father for dinner and he stood in the hall and yelled, "Sweetie, dinner's ready!" I am really enjoying this thread. All of them, really -- it's nice to get to know a little more about my new friends.
barefut
Hey Mommydude! That IS cute! My boys are into "dude" too. My oldest is "Big dude" and my youngest is "Dudelet" :) B
miocean
My screen name comes from the ocean that I live near on the coast of New Jersey. I love the ocean and used to swim a mile a day in it before I got sick. Now I have a catheter in for kidney dialysis so I can't go in the water at all and it breaks my heart. It's "my ocean" but I share!
barefut
Miocean, I like that! On sunny days when the snow capped Olympics are in view I always tell the kids "There's my mountains". The beaches around here are "mine" too but I share also. Nice of us to share isn't it? :D Barefut

Sheryl
Doomer, Ok let's see. Where do I start. My last name is Doom. Go ahead and say it. I worked in the Emergency Room. Ok, Now that is a good one. How about Every Ready. The Rabbit got that one. I picked up that name at work. The girls would say things like lets all go to Doomer's house after work. Latte's Yumm! Then the kids in the neighborhood would say lets go to Doomer's house and see who will come out to play. So, I guess I should have used Doomer's instead of just Doomer. I have been Doomed and Double Doomed and triple Doomed. My oldest son is Dr. Doom PHD It is a strange German name that we love. Sheryl

Sherion
I also use my real name. I've never had a nickname and I'm not bright enough to pick a cute or original screen name. My only thing is that even though my name is spelled"Sherion" it is pronounced Sharon. I believe it came from bad penmanship on my birth certificate. LOL
