dawnie
My real name, DAWN, was taken already; so I picked this one (dawnie)--it's what my grandfather used to call me. I just hope the computer never logs me off, cause I'm sure I'll forget it--that's why I always stick with my real name for usernames and stuff (can't remember anything else) HA-HA!!!! JANQ
Awww! Mine is so boring compared to everybody else's! This is such a fun thread! I used my name and my daughter's initials; we've always gone by Janet and Noelle on cards, correspondence, etc., since the day she was born. We are considered the Siamese twins of the family, who have gone through separation. (J)anet (A)nd (N)oelle. Q is for my last name. I should change it to Nommy! My daughter and I text each other frequently, something 13 year olds love to do, as anyone with a teen can attest! I call her Honey, but one day I misspelled Honey, and said "Hi Boney!" It stuck! She sent me a text back and said, "Hi Nommy!" And that's stuck! My girl is my lifesaver and shining light! Just had to add that! Janet ^_^

living linda
I chose Living as my screen name in honor of the 15 years plus of living with this terrible disease. I remember having the doctor tell me to go home, get my affairs in order, and in other words there is not much to do about it. I don't use that doctor any more. I would leave his office feeling like a hypochondriac with none of my issues resolved. He was the only rheumatologist here at the time. I was fortunate that when we had a new doctor come to town, my general doctor. gave me a referral. The amazing thing is that she was an associate in the same clinic with my "old" doctor. I have made progress and am never made to feel like a bother or hypochondriac. I am not cured but I am gratefully alive!
janey
Living Linda, As you and most of us know - getting the right doctor(s) is the most important thing when dealing with this disease and others like it. We know we'll never be cured, but we sure can get it to where it's manageable. At least I have and it sounds like you have as well. Big Hugs,
