I Have The Best News Ever For Myself!

13 posts in this topic

As many of you know I have a rheumatologist that I do not click with at all. Even though shes supposed to be the best in our state. I just feel that shes not working with me for my treatment. She says whats what and that's it......I have no say at all. This is WRONG. When I went to see her the first time I was seen by a Dr doing his fellowship. He was great but after a couple months his fellowship was over and he went to a different hospital. My GREAT news is, I called today and he takes my insurance!!! I am now just waiting to see if my referral is over so I can change Dr's. This Dr I want to see listens to me and takes the time to explain why I have to do this or that. That is so how a Dr is supposed to be! So gang keep fingers crossed that my referral is fast and I can see a GOOD Dr. I am doing the happy dance right now I am so excited! I now get to have a say in my medical care!

Hugs,

Patty

Yeahhhhhhhhh!!!

I see you've been on the phone all day, still! Good girl! I'm so happy you've tracked down the doctor that you "click" with! It makes such a difference in our treatments and just how we feel overall. I'm sure you'll get great results from this doctor.

Fingers crossed for you about your referral.

That's great! I too am not happy with my rheumatologist so I feel your pain. I'm so glad you will now have access to one that listens!

Hi Patty,

Great news! There is nothing like having an appointment with a dr you know you can talk to and trust! I would cross my fingers but I haven't been able to do that in years! I'll cross my legs instead.....

Hugs,

Lisa

Hey Patty,

I really hope this works out for you. You've been unhappy with your current rheumatologist for quite a while. Keep us posted.
