Checking In

Recommended Posts

Hello Friends,

I miss checking in daily as I've been crazy busy since becoming a 'working' mom. (Aren't all moms working moms regardless of employment?) I love my teller job but I'm still trying to adjust to my new schedule.

Basketball started for both of my boys at the same time my job did. Getting them to practices 3 days a week after work is a challenge not to mention squeezing in dinner. We eat out a lot. I miss our family table.

My house is always a mess! Dishes and laundry don't get done until Sunday (after the Seahawks game) Yes, a weeks worth of dirty dishes piled up! But remember, we eat out a lot so it's mostly just breakfast dishes.

I started preparing for December holidays right after October and thought I was doing good but now I'm behind. There is still a jack-o-lantern night light in my front window and my son's paper skeleton on the back of the front door. Our fake tree is up and lit but remains undecorated.

My dad will behere in a week! AGH!

I am bleary-eyed tired when I get home from work and fall asleep immediately after the boys do. Sometimes I will wake up at 3am and not get back to sleep - things to do and teller transactions swimming through my head.

I haven't had time to read a lot of posts lately but I noticed there are a lot of newer members I'd like to say welcome to. Hope I can get to know you better soon.

Hope everyone is feeling good. I miss you guys! If I'm not back before, have a peaceful, relaxing holiday with the ones you love.

Take care,

I really admire moms who can deal with work and kids at the same time, even not to mention your sickness and all of that! WOW I just don't know how you can do all that. I hope it's getting easier for you after holidays. Be strong and try to find some time to relax. :) We miss you too!

...and we miss you!!!

I'm so glad that you like your job. I mean if we have to work it's nice to like what you do!! Yes, all moms are crazy!! Even those of us that have out kids out of the house. If you think it stops when they leave home, you are sadly mistaken! They just have bigger problems that are hard to understand sometimes and even harder to fix. Hmmm sounds like I'm speaking from experience - YEP!! :)

Anyway, let those dishes sit, they will be there when you have time. Or beetter yet, go to recycled paper plates. :) The kids however will be in their 30's before you know it!

Love you much!

Warm and gentle hugs,
