Thanks Barefut. You're a doll.

Honestly, I'm not under too much emotional turmoil over the whole thing. Maybe I'm over medicated or have faith in a higher power, but I'm very optimistic about the whole situation. I think it's best to stay calm, keep clear headed and not let the situation doesn't get the best of me.

Take care

Peanut,

Keep plugging away. I have United Healthcare and I was approved for the SCT. Everyday I am more grateful for what the SCT has done for me. I would be happy to write a letter for you explaining that this isn't experimental in light of the success others have had with the treatment. It seems absolutely absurd that United Healthcare can approve the treatment in one instance and reject it in the next. As a last resort you may want to contact counsel and have them fight UHC on the decision. Maybe in some way my case can be used as precedent for you. I would be happy to testify or do whatever is needed to help. I know that Northwestern is considered by UHC as a preferred transplant center, though I didn't have my transplant there. Don't give up on this. I am confident it will be worth it to you in the end. Please PM me if you would like me to do anything to help. Good luck!

Congratulations! Such good news!!!

Quick question..................does a person have to be really sick with sclero symptoms to get a stem cell or how does a person know or qualify for this type of treatment?

Warm hugs from Minnesota.

Peanut, I'm tremendously excited for you! What a wonderful victory!!! We'll all be rooting for you as you go through the process, which can be daunting, to say the least. Here's hoping you will enjoy some delightful health improvements from it.

Hey Peggy,
I'm very sick, but if you're interested and have the time it never hurts to inquire. If you are interested, look up the clinical trials page, or PM me and I'll give you my contacts.

I'm very excited but worn out and coming down with something. I think I have a fever. I hope its nothing serious...

Peanut,

Great news! I am very happy for you. Best of luck with everything. It is a long process but it is well worth it! If I can be of any assistance during the process don't hesitate to ask. Some of the greatest help I had during the process was speaking with those that went before me. I cannot tell you how happy I am for you.

Peanut,

I am absolutely THRILLED for you! With the determination you have for getting into the trial, you will definitely fly through the procedure. It's great to see Dave doing so well and you should use his experience as much as possible.

Peggy, Using the link that Peanut provide you can get directly to the home Page of these trials. In some cases you can email directly is you have a specific question. A couple of years ago I emailed the "contact" on the SCOTS Trial page to see if having a pagemaker disqualified me. I got an answer within 24 hours. So the point is, if you can't find the qualifying criteria on the website, then just email them directly. (BTW - the pacemaker DID disqualify me. Oh well)

Big Hugs to you Peanut. It's going to be quite interesting watching you go through this experience.
