Hi Atnaw ,

If you type in those words into Google you will find lots of reading about it. This came up on one article.

Wikipedia

"Cutis verticis gyrata or CVG for short, is a superficial condition usually associated with thickening of the scalp. Sufferers show visible folds, ridges or creases on the surface of the top of the scalp. The number of folds can vary from 2 to roughly 10. The folds are typically soft and spongy cannot be corrected with pressure. The color of the skin is not affected."

The condition typically affects the central and rear regions of the scalp, but sometimes can involve the entire scalp.

Take care, Everyone.

Margaret

atnaw,

This is a new one! Here's the eMedicine.com website on cutis verticis gyrata. To see images of it you can google it and click on "images" at the top of the page. I couldn't find a website dedicated specifically to it.

My brother has schizophrenia, intellectual disability and CVG, although his doctors haven’t connected these. I picked it up In my reading on line.

Does anyone have experience with CVG  and schizophrenia?
