Hi Margaret,

Thanks for asking. I'm here in Chicago, a bit sleepy but rollin' along in the stem cell process. My rib no longer hurts but it clicks funny in me. I'm glad cause I wanted to get off the prescription pain medication they gave me for that as soon as possible.

As far as stem cell goes, I'm just starting my Neupogen shots. Neupogen creates the cells in me needed for the transplant; they will be removed on April 21st. I get them back May 13th. So until then we get up at 7 am and I get shots. The 21st is also the day my hair may start falling out, so I've cut my hair in expectation - into a mohawk... He He. I'm kinda ridicerous.

I am staying in a faux-euro apartment hotel room with a full kitchen with my mom-in-law to care for me. We stay in quite a bit cause energy is something I don't always have. Thank you Jefa for the lovely basket of cookies.

Take care,

peanut

I love the mohawk idea. It's really hip now so you're in fashion :)
