Hi Everyone,

I'm trying not to get excited, but in paying bills online today I noticed my account was WELL over what the balance should be. I called the bank and they said, "Well a very large deposit was made my Social Security"

I'm so excited, but trying not to get too excited, because I have never received anything in the mail from SS saying I was awarded. It's only been 3 weeks since my phone interview.

Should I be worried they accidentally paid me and I might have to pay this back???

This is record approval from what I've heard!

Warm and gentle hugs,

Congratulations, Pam!!!

The same thing happened to my husband, with receiving the money in the bank before even being notified. But don't worry, it's yours, it means you've been approved. You can relax, it's over, it's really yours.

Hummy, My actual approval only took 3 weeks from start to finish but it took me 5 months to receive my first check. That was because I had to be out of work for 5 months before I was eligible. If you have not been working, you may have met that requirement and could very well have received your first check. Do you have online banking with your bank? If so, you can look at your account to see exactly what was deposited and when. Here's hoping it is good news.

Much love,

Kim

GREAT Sweet! :) . Now you can finally relax. I too received a check today. My temp disability was over last month but they sent a check for $300 plus. Don't know why.

The large deposit you got was probably the retro due you upon acceptance.

So glad you got approved. Seems like a get away weekend with the husband is all that is needed to really make a celebration of it!

Sweet,

That's awesome!!! I didn't receive a letter saying I got it either. I got a call from Social Security saying I needed to come in and set it up for my son to get his payments. I said well why is he getting disability if I'm not. The lady said that I had been approved. My first check was huge because they did backpay from when I stopped working. My son also gets a monthly check because he is under 18. It is such a relief! I am so happy for you. Sit back and relax. You deserve it!!!!!!! :)

Hi Sweet, I got my disability without any problem. I attributed it to a good thorough application and a long steady work record. Congratulations on getting yours. BMW and I will bring the "special ingredient" for the punch. Birdman

Thanks everyone for the congrats. I even dreamed about it last night!

This party sounds like it's going to be a big bash!

One question, if I never get a letter from them, should I contact them? I guess I'd like to see something on paper!

Congrats! I told you that Sclero was usually and automatic if your med recores substantiate the effects of sclero. You should receive written notification some time in the next 10 days. I am so happy for you and I am glad you don't have to worry about this anymore. Now you can relax! Congrats again!!

Warm hugs,

Peggy

That is WONDERFUL news, Pam! That's exactly how it happens... it's always a pleasant surprise to find extra in the bank, especially because you received your disability at last!

I'm doin' the happy dance over here!
