Completely understand. I constantly run a mild fever. And I get really bad night sweats, most of the time I wake up in the middle of the night to change my clothes. At the same time a lot of things trigger Raynaud's attacks and chills. It's the weirdest thing.

And the soreness sounds like the start of some calcinosis, that's how mine all started, sharp sore pains and before I knew it there was a huge lump that appeared over night. So keep an eye out on that.

My thermostat is also broken. I use to always be cold. I would get even colder while my body was trying to digest food that I had eaten. Warm coffee never seemed to help truly warm me. Linda Lou, what makes you think it can't be change of life causing some of these issues? I was totally through all the lovely issues at 46 myself and later had a hysterectomy but still deal with other hormonal things. Just trying to educate myself.

Hi Linda lou, getting hot at night is a common problem not only in the Menopause but aslo in the Peri-menopause when hormone levels are declining - which can be several years before the actual menopause, so given your age it is a possible explanation.

Hi Linda Lou

I have a broken thermostat as well. I get really cold when it's cold and can't warm up easily for ages after coming into the warm, unless I have a hot bath and change clothes. Like Sheryl, I can get cold straight after a meal, too. At night I get really hot, even in winter. Yet my hands are feet are always cold, summer or winter. Even when I am sweating and trying to cool my upper body down when it's hot, my hands can be cold. It's so weird!!! Plus, when I get hot, my face goes a lot redder than it used to. Even when my hands are feeling cold. Weird!

For me my skin just starts burning, it feels like someone peeled all of my skin off. The only thing that I have found that helps is a cold shower. I decided to take my temperature during one of these episodes (before the shower) and found that my temperature was 95. I did this on other occasions and it was always the same. So there I am burning up with a temperature of 95. Its just all wacko.

I get hot at night as well. My hand are colder than the rest of me, but I have not been diagnosed with Reynaud's yet. Along with the cold hands I have cold feet and they both go numb. My nail beds hurt from time to time (can no longer do a manicure). Left work early today because my ankles were so cold they started to hurt. No color changes though.
