Tonight's Chat - Fatigue

8 posts in this topic

Hi Everyone,

With some of us involved in Mother''s Day dinners, I wondered if anyone could summarize tonight's Chatroom discussion about fatigue for those of us who missed it. In particular, I was wondering if anyone discussed whether or not fatigue is always associated with internal organ involvement, of if it can occur without a definite cause.

Do some people never experience fatigue?

Any info would be of help. I'm new to all of this.

Thank you so much and Best Wishes to everyone.

Margo

Hi Margo,

Welcome to the forums! And what a great idea! I would love to see regular summaries of sclero chat as I haven't been able to get in yet and the topics have been SO GOOD.

I know that means some extra time and work for someone(s) but we'll see what the powers that be think......Not sure how it could be presented - ie as a topic that can be replied to or rather posted as more like meeting notes without replies.

Thanks for the good idea and and we'll see...

As for fatigue - I think most, if not all, of us battle the dreaded fatigue pretty regularly. I was fighting with it today :(

Take care,

Barefut

Well from what was discussed in chat while I was there, fatigue seems to be an issue with a lot of folk, any age. And most just seem to get through it, though vitamins and supplements can help. And most importantly learn to pace yourself throughout the day and take naps as needed.

On a personal note, I don't have any organ involvement, but I struggle with fatigue on a daily basis. As I mentioned in chat, sometimes taking a shower is just too much, so I tend to sit in the tub because standing requires way too much effort.

I missed today's chat. It was a great topic. Although, my scleroderma is under control, I have two major issues fatigue and joint pain.

Kind regards,

I will discuss this with Jefa. I don't mind putting some of the information that is discussed into a short paragraph. I would have to have copies of both chats and combine the information. Maybe by doing this others can jump in on the topic and add there dimes worth of information. I'll get back with you on this one.

Strength and Warmth,

Sheryl
